international week

Today we had workshops. We have been making a traditional danish lunsjboks "smørbrød". We all made one each and of course we ate it at lunsjtime:) The lunsj consisted of: wholegrainebread, butter, makrel in tomatosause, sausages, ham, chees, cuecombers, tomatoes, fried onions, tartarsause(popular called remulade), and of course the danish chocolate topping who looks like a visacard made of chocolate(tastes really good, but only when you eat it beside the bread like regular choclate:)(by the way, you don`t put all the toppings on one slice of bread, but I think you understand....:)
It was fun to see all the different countries making their own sandwiches and using their own combinations. For eksampel this one person put chhoklate on the top of the eggs(I don`t know if she maby thought this was tipical danish or she actually just likes it).
then we wrote our own countries tipical lunsj at the blackboard. In norway we it slices of bread whit toppings like ham, chees, makrell i tomat, cuecombers, tomatoes and so on, which we like to call "Ola Normann" because it`s so tipical norwegian....it might sound like the danish, but it aint like that!
In many other countries they eat hot lunsjes, maby we have something to learn:)

I also joined another workshopgroup where we should make a smal film. The film should be about things we think is weard about the danes. We made a littele film about why the danes cycle a lot. It was really fun making the film. I learned a lot, and now maby I can be a filmproduser instead of a kindergardenteatcher;) tihi
We found out that the danes cycle because:
- it`s convenient
- it`s easy
- it`s cheeper than car
- you don`t need a parkinglot
- it`s an old tradition
and
- you have to be 18 to have you`re licens.

The eavening we spent together with all the international students. We all broth some food which is tipical in our own country. there were a lot of good food!!I tasted(among lot of other food) Belgian chocolate, spanish omelet++, danish red hot dogs, some tyrkish food which I don`t remember the name of, fries which the belgian of course brought, check potatoesalat, and some portugise pasta "thing" which by the way tasted really good...and so on:)
And last but not least the norwegian food: "skoleboller" it`s kind of a sweet east dough, topped with vanilla cream, thin sugar"melis" and coconut.
